Can I upgrade from Starter to Developer package for my site?
Yes. You can upgrade at any time, with a six-month Developer subscription, and receive credit for the unused months left on your Starter subscription.
Where can I get help with a Run BASIC programming problem?
RunBASICnet only provides help with installing and running your web site. For programming help, see the Run BASIC Forum and the Run BASIC Wiki.
If I subscribe to RunBASICnet, do I have to buy a copy of Run BASIC Personal?
No. Your RunBASICnet account has its own copy of the Run BASIC server. You can log in to your RunBASICnet IDE, and do your coding right there, online, if you wish. Most folks like to do their development offline, on their own computer running Run BASIC Personal, so they don't interfere with visitors accessing an active program.
What is an "online IDE"?
That's the Run BASIC "interactive development environment", or programming interface, with the tabs and controls and editor, running online on your RunBASICnet web site.
I don't need all those sample projects in my account directory. Can I delete files and folders through FTP?
Yes, you can. Your FTP connection goes staight into your account directory. Anything you change through FTP is instantly active (or inactive, if you're deleting things). Of course, you need an FTP client with full file manipulation features, not just connect-and-upload.
